Does ALX Ventures support non-profit founders?

At present, ALX Ventures only serves for-profit ventures.

Does ALX Ventures provide funding for my startup?

ALX Ventures currently provides direct cash prizes to the top 3 finalists of the #DoHardThings Challenge. We also provide in-kind non-monetary support for startups in our Incubator and Accelerator. We do not take equity from participants unless they specifically opt-in for certain types of additional support.

If I miss the deadline, can I still seek support from ALX Ventures later on?

Yes, ALX Ventures exists to provide ongoing support to entrepreneurs within the African Leadership Group ecosystem, including ALA, ALU, ALUSB, and ALX. If you meet this criteria, you may fill our general ALX Ventures application at any time.

If I am already beyond the idea or MVP stage, can I be fast-tracked to the Incubator or Accelerator stage?

Yes, everyone must fill the same general application. Based on your submission, we will determine whether it will be appropriate to fast-track you to a different stage.
